Wind power
In the first R&D projects, we are dealing with the digital transformation in wind power. Equivalent to the opportunities offered by Industry 4.0, new types of monitoring and maintenance concepts based on digital technologies are being developed for wind turbines. This should make wind turbines more effective and safer.
Another goal we are pursuing is to increase the efficiency of wind turbines in operation. The focus is not on monitoring, but on the usage of new system components. In this context, new types of damping systems are being developed to reduce the vibrations of the tower and rotors, as well as adjusting devices for adaptive refinement of the rotor geometry to different operating conditions. In the transmission and conversion of mechanical energy in wind turbines, the focus is on investigating new principles.
